Order Taker Room Service, F&B

The key responsibilities are:

Preparing for Service by ensuring:
Sufficient stock on hand for stationery, menu cover, menu paper, official check, entertainment form,
purchase order form, birthday candles, etc
Immaculate grooming and presentation standards inline with hotel policy
Arrange and prepare all daily flowers arrangements
Attending for shift according to schedule
Prepare daily special attention guests reports for Managers
Taking orders by ensuring:
The telephone is answered courteously and efficiently
Food and beverage items are up-sold and suggestive selling techniques are used
Guest orders are taken accurately, repeating the order and quoting delivery time
Placing Orders by:
Communicating order to kitchen and advising of special requests
Delivering orders by:
Adhering to room entry procedures
Presenting meals and beverages
Presenting an accurate account
Concluding shift by
Handling the point of sales terminal and cashiering transactions if applicable
Following account charging procedures
Cleans and re-sets his/her working area
Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information
Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
Collect documents for F & B meetings (i.e. Daily function report, AM log, F&B log & Glitch report, etc) from the Food and Beverage Office

Qualifications

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:

  • Arabic Speaker preffered
  • Good command of English
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in similar role in a five star hotel industry
